After class on Wednesday, I was approached by a couple of students who had already read Don’t Make Me Think, and were looking for the next book to read for their usability education. With that in mind, I came home and browsed my bookshelf, and there was the answer. Web Usability Handbook (second edition), by Mark Pearrow was the book that I first used to organize my class three years ago (the class has evolved into its own structure since then). It’s a great inventory of theory, techniques and advice. The Amazon featured review, by the way, does not give this book its proper due. Its quite good.

Welcome, to all my usability students for the Summer ‘09 semester. Here are some essential links for you:
- Class Syllabus
- Class 1 assignment, resources, and slides
As of this morning, the service I have been using to post my class slides to this site has been acting wonky, so you may not see the slides. If its not working within the next day or two I will post PDFs of my slides.
